Hey! I'm JD Laubach, and I wanted to thank you for checking out my website!

 My husband Jeremy and I love traveling and our goal is to see every national park, and all of Europe. We live in the suburbs of the Midwest with our 3 cats: Sabrina, Todd, and Gilligan who are the lights of my life. I teach radio and marketing at a broadcasting college part time and pursue my dreams part time. 

I am an author of Adult/New Adult/Young Adult Fantasy Romance novels and I'm currently working on my debut: Smoke and Mirrors and a novella of short stories set in the same Prinaverse: The Forgotten Heir. I have loved fantasy books and fairytales since I was a kid, and my obsession started with a lullaby my Great Grandmother used to sing to all the kids called "The Stars One and All."

My mom was instrumental in my love of books, always reading to me, and singing every day. I grew to love Tuck Everlasting, The White Mountains, Holes, Disney Movies, Narnia, and of course, Harry Potter.

The older I got, the more I devoured books and wanted to be Matilda...wanting to always be reading and attempting to do some awesome magic, haha! Then the Hunger Games era happened, and I fell in love with sci-fi and dystopias...eventually branching off into adult books like The Magicians, Sword Catcher, Cruel Prince, ACOTAR and many more.

I've had this dream of being an author literally since I was 6 years old, and now, at age 35, I'm truly attempting my dreams. I finished my first draft of a planned Fantasy series in September of 2023, and I'm in the editing stages, so follow along on my journey to publication!
