Rocky Mountain Romance

Writer's picture: J & JJ & J

Jeremy and I got to spend a week in Colorado! Holy moly...it is such a cool, hip, and fun place to be. We took a tour of the Rocky Mountain National Park with a company called Colorado Sightseer

and we had an awesome tour guide named Will. We got to see Sprague Lake, Pikes Peak and many overlooks, mountains, waterfalls and SO MUCH ELK!!! It was crazy to see all the wildlife so close and comfortable near us.

The mountains are overwhelmingly large and it was an indiscribable feeling to be so small. It was incredible to just be present in that moment and realize how small and huge the world is all at the same time. I would highly recommend going to Rocky Mountain National Park and take the Number 4 Summer/Winter tour.

During the tour, we stopped in Estes Park. This little mountain town was so charming! Beautiful scenic backdrop, elk that invaded the center of town, and amazing food at a place called Claire's! Jeremy had an elk/bison meatloaf lunch and I had fish and chips ( I wasn't sure how anything would taste...but it was phenomenal!).

Although we were on a small group tour and not alone...it really was an intimate tour. We felt as if nothing existed but us out in the Colorado wilderness. If you are ever wondering what should be next on your travel agenda...please go west and hit up the Rockies!
